I don’t think there is, besides a man’s house, a better illustration of the sample of wisdom “Details make the difference.” For unbelievers, textile curtain is a simple matter of setting frivolity in a worthless investment. In contrast, for the believers, the role of a necessary evil curtain starts up into passion and conviction. I do my share in this camp.
Since childhood, in my home there was always a cult of curtains. Do not imagine a much sophisticated style; we always had classic curtains, some woven mesh with various models and landscapes. But my mother loved them and so she was guarding them accordingly. St. forbid not to pull the curtain all the way when you walk by the window! Or disturb the folds cleverly arranged! After each washing, mother immediately mounted them so they didn’t form folds, then gave them a natural starch, a solution of water and sugar. After they were dried, you could get hurt in them if you were not careful.
I remember the curtains childhood when, in the process of real change, I spent several days with empty windows. I felt like a site, and my apartment has not started to identify with a home until the galleries were not populated.
Of course, the investment is considered: galleries money (the system that actually hang curtain), textile money, money for your tailor to adjust, money for a ladder to climb up so you can mount them and so on. But nothing compares to that moment when you finish hanging the curtain, taking a little back and admire, and the room suddenly seems more intimate and warmer.
Right now I would not see me using surrogate tandem such as drapery + curtain. I do not want to hear about draperies, vertical blinds or horizontal rail panels or other impostors who only serves to obscure the light, without little aesthetic function, without some heat. It would not be worth even the half type combinations such as curtain + horizontal blinds instead of curtains.
Perhaps I slowly am turning myself into my mother. I do not know if it’s good or bad, the fact is that I would see myself one day, anointing my curtains with sugar and water, just-just that I get perfection in creasing the window dressing…
For a person with a great taste, as I believe I am, I must say I found the perfect curtain for a house. And that didn’t cost me money on a cab, or parking lot money. I simply found them online, on the amazon.com website.
The curtains I am talking about are very special. They are made by Stylemaster and they are just right for any room you might have in the house, minus the kitchen, because I would say they are a bit too sophisticate for the kitchen.
Made by 100% polyester, these curtains are easy to wash and they don’t need steaming. They come with a standard rod pocket and tassels attached.
They are absolutely gorgeous. My mother would absolutely fall in love with these. Now I can’t say they look any similar to my childhood curtains, but they are unique though, very modern, attractive and elegant. They would make a very interesting look out of your living room, perhaps bedroom too, and the price is a bargain.
The fabric is soft, gentle and beautiful and the details are absolutely stunning. So, I would really recommend this to everyone who wants a natural light of the room, intimacy and simple, elegant look. They are absolutely worth the 14.39$ !
